Sometimes after an intense work period, it's really important to just get out and do something out of the routine. Don't get me wrong. The kind of routine I get to have now is my favorite kind. But it's tough to keep generating...you just get burned out. So, thanks to a very talented friend of mine, I was able to learn something new, and just have fun with it. Even though I'm new at working with clay, it was easy to get into the creative zone. It was a great reminder, we don't have to be proficient at art to get the benefits from it. This is Picket Fence Art Studio in Woodinville. Local artist Jamie Eppenauer opened her studio for a day. A few of us signed up for the "pop up" class and had a great time with glass and clay. She also teaches painting. If you're interested, keep an eye on studio happenings by following Jamie on Facebook. :) Thanks for opening up your beautiful studio, Jamie! What a great day.
